How Much Does It Cost to Take the Ferry to or from Bainbridge and Seattle?

  • As of January 1, 2025 the ferry to or from Seattle and Bainbridge Island (round-trip) costs $10.25 for adults, $5.10 for seniors and is FREE for children and teenagers under the age of 19.

  • If you are driving your vehicle aboard, prices start at $14.65 (each way) for a vehicle and its driver.

How Do I Get to the Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal?

  • From Northern Bainbridge Island: Drive to WA-305 S and head South until you arrive at the ferry Terminal. Immediately prior to the ferry terminal, when you come to the light for Winsow Way E., you have the option to turn left to find parking.

How Do I Get to the Seattle Ferry Terminal from SeaTac Airport?

  • From the airport, drive north to exit the airport to WA-518 West for 1.2 miles, towards WA-509. Take the exit to WA-509 North and Seattle and continue for 5.5 miles. WA-509 North turns slightly left and becomes Highway 99 North. Use the 2nd exit from the right lane to take the Alaskan Way South exit towards Downtown Seattle. Continue on Alaskan Way until you arrive at the Seattle Ferry Terminal.

When Does the Bainbridge Ferry Get Crowded?

  • The ferry gets crowded (and sometime full for vehicles) most often on weekends, and during rush-hour in the mornings and afternoons.

  • Four the route departing from Bainbridge, Monday-Thursday mornings are the busiest times. The 6:20 AM, 7:05 AM, 7:55 AM, 8:45 AM and 9:40 AM departure times are often completely booked.

  • Four the route departing from Seattle, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are the busiest days. The 2:05 PM, 3:00 PM, 3:50 PM, and 4:45 PM departure times will often or mostly be completely booked.
